Hi [NAME fallback=there],
Wow, I had forgotten how awesome the weather is this time of year, nice and cool in the mornings, perfect for riding.
A quick heads up for Saturday the 1st of May, that is next Saturday, there is an early morning wedding at the coffee shop, so the whole coffee shop area and the main parking area will be closed. Really sorry for the inconvenience guys. In the 7 years we have been doing weddings, we have only had 6 morning weddings, so this will not be a regular thing, promise.
The left hand side of the parking (we will have parking attendants to show you) will be available, we will have some chairs and tables around the Holla permits sales area and we will have a waiter to fetch orders from the bar area. Bacon & Egg rolls and muffins will be available as well and, of course, the showers can also be used.
TRAIL NEWS: A big HOLLA out to Rob Black - owner of the farm with the purple single track (and the guy who originally built it). Rob took it upon himself to add an extra 500 odd metres to our already rocking purple single track! He has got an employee who drives tractors for him and who has become a keen mountain biker and with Robs help and encouragement; he took great pride in opening an extra loop through this bush after his normal work was done. Look out for it just after the log jump towards the end of the single track. We are waiting for the next rain when we will put a compacter on to it so until then it will be soft going. Rob: the Holla Trails Riders thank you for your support, SHOT DUDE!
Did you know that we have two farmers who have built their own single track for us to ride? Clive Damant also built the entire gnarly track along his stream that makes the maroon so special. It is awesome that we have the support of the farmers so remember to thank them when you bump into them on their farms.
Happy riding and remember to Holla! Josh
HOLLA RUNNERS: More and more people are enjoying the trail running at Holla Trails. There is a solid group of runners training for comrades who are running every Saturday from Holla at 05h30. If you are keen to join in and meet some new running friends, come along and join in. Also get onto the Holla Riders blog and see/ask what runs are happening during the week. Nic and Kristy are running 20 km on Wed morning and 10 to15 km on Thursday. Both runs leave at 05h45 from Holla.
Have a good one, Wayne
